This is like the onetime, very online Big Crumb Coffee Cake but with a more even ratio of crumb-to-cake. I love cardamom coffee cake as a designation, but I haven't baked a coffee cake recipe which repurposed spent grounds in such a delightful flavor profile. Also, I have only used ground cardamom except when steeping the pods for Chai or cocktail simple syrup: excited about a cardamom cake that reveals more citrus, warm spice and sweet.
