I’ve made this cake twice now, both times with great results. One question; is there grapefruit juice in the cake or is it just in the glaze? The recipe is a bit confusing on this topic. Thanks!
hi kathy! so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed the cake! i just took a look and see what you mean about the grapefruit juice. the zest is used in the cake, no juice.
i only call for juicing the grapefruit right away after you zest it to keep things a bit more efficient. the amount of juice you need is then listed under the sugar crust ingredients and varies based on the size of the cake and tin it’s baked in. hope that helps!
